I am a native of Germany and grew up in Munich. Trained as a biologist and biochemist in Germany, I spent most of my life as a research scientist and came to the University of California Irvine in 1981 on a fellowship. I worked as a researcher at UC Irvine until my retirement and I still reside in Irvine, CA, with my husband Janos Lanyi.
Once I improved my skills in digital imagery and digital printing, I developed an interest in printmaking and enrolled in courses at Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA . Having learned the basic techniques of intaglio and relief printmaking, I set off on my own and since then pursue my ideas in my own studio.
I have won numerous juried exhibits around the country and second prize at San Luis Obispo Art Center (Juror: Nicholas Spohrer).
